    I just bought the 06 chevy silverado 4.3 with 119k miles and for 3 days it turned on fine. After sitting for 2 days it didn't turn on, crank but no start. I replaced wires, cap and rotor and now it starts now.

      I have that similar symptom with my 97 blazer crank no start replaced My cap and rotor too and charged the battery and didn’t fire up right away, idk if it might be my fuel pump or some other type of fuel relay or electrical symptom but I let my truck sit and charged the battery up fully and it would run then after a few days would the same thing

    Possible Crankshaft sensor

  • @Trucker-Belly
    @Trucker-Belly Рік тому

    Drove to work, got off work, truck cranks, no start, spark and haven’t confirmed fuel pressure yet. Now that I think about it I only checked one plug wire and it sparked about the right amount of times equally so it seemed normal. My spark plug was actually loose af and I hand tightened it back in. My ECM ign fuse thats “always hot” turns off during crank but the spark was still sparking. Thought maybe ignition switch but who knows anymore. Im going to buy a fuel pump, cap and rotor, starting fluid, rent a fuel pressure gauge and try to fix my truck in front of the customer’s house tomorrow. 😂. Thanks for the info. I looked for a way to see if I had fuel pressure but I didnt know it was hidden back there. I was literally looking right in that area. Im by myself and I dont have a fuse box under the hood. (1995 jimmy). It makes it impossible to listen for a fuel pump noise. Had a check engine light come on last summer for a cam sensor I think. It was under the distributor. The light stayed on ever since. Last few months it would lack a lot of power especially in the 1-2 or 2-3 shift. Gas mileage seems ok(15mpg city) so hopefully its simple bc I just got paid and that money is now possibly gone😂😂😂.

      What did it turn out to be?

    • @Trucker-Belly
      @Trucker-Belly 3 місяці тому

      @@jackpaullus2643not sure. I replaced the distributor coil and cap. Started up. Didnt start again a day later, pulled fuel pump relay for 5 seconds, started right up. That trick didnt work before the distributor cap/rotor change. Happened once more a few days later, same quick fix and hasn’t happened since.

    Excellent video from the expert guy. However, I can't find it's necessary to check the TDC before you check the distributor condition. Then, based on the findings, you have to decide to check for TDC if firing is found ok.i.e means Timing Chain is broken?

    Hello Dear Friends,,, I am a owner of the 455 cui. Engine. It is working by “4-barrell Rochester QuadraJet carburetor” I own an American PONTIAC GRANDVILLE Car. I live in a wheelchair. There is something I want to learn from you, knowledgeable friends. I would be really happy if you could help me. What is the most appropriate "Propane Dual Fuel Mixer" Kit that should be installed on the 7.4 Liter (455 cubic inch) engine on my car, so that it works like it works with gasoline without any problems, and also shows smooth running performance in daily use? From whom do I learn about Brand and Model information? From whom can I get technical information? Who knows about this subject?? Could you please tell me which brand and model kit is the most suitable kit for this engine?? I am a good hearted person. because throughout my life, “my first priority has always been to help people”. And Now, on this issue, I am asking you very seriously, "BECAUSE I NEED YOUR HELP". because I'm sure of this; If you were in my place, and you asked me for help on a subject I know, I would definitely help the person in front of me, no matter who they are. NOTE: I want to run my car on Propane, Yes.. BUT, I just don't want to use only gasoline. I really need this car as I can't walk!!! If I run out of propane on the road, I HAVE TO "START THE ENGINE ON GASOLINE" and CONTINUE MY WAY. I hope to hear your suggestions soon Thank you very much for your helpfulness and sensitivity. God Bless You 🙏💙🙏

    I can only roll down but the switch is fine. The issue with mine is that the window shifts forward and jams when rolling up unless I palm it back. One of the clips that holds it to the elevating regulator piece seems to have detached. I’ll have to get in there and fix it!
